Heated Beds for Cats
Whether you live in a cold climate or sunny Florida, cats love heated beds. In short, cats love to be cozy, so a heated cat bed offers gentle warmth that they are sure to love! My cats have had their K&H Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up beds for over five years now. These heated cat beds are consistently some of their favorite places to hang out. So, if you’re looking to treat your furbaby, this bed is the way to go!

Which Heated Cat Bed is Best?
The K&H Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up style is a fantastic heated cat bed. From my experience with the two we own, I can confidently say it’s the best heated cat bed for indoor cats. It doesn’t use much electricity, is easy to clean, and boasts a durable design. We purchased our first one over six years ago, and our second is about five years old now, both still going strong!

The K&H Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up Heated Pet Bed
This heated bed is designed to gradually warm up, starting with a gentle heat that builds based on your cat’s body temperature as they settle in. This efficient heating method maintains the optimal temperature for your cat while they lounge.
In addition to its heating benefits, the bed features an orthopedic foam bolster that provides the perfect height for your cat to rest their chin. The micro-fleece cover is machine washable and easy to maintain.
Why My Cats Love this Heated Bed
This K&H heated cat bed is the perfect size for my cats. Measuring approximately 16 inches by 16 inches, with a 3-inch lip on the shorter style, the bed provides space for them to curl up or stretch out. We have the shorter style, which is an ideal chin rest height that promotes optimal cat napping!
With its combination of a super soft cover and gradual heating, the bed is also perfect for cats that enjoy kneading. Emory always kneads on hers before settling in for a nap!

Can You Leave the Heated Bed Plugged In?
According to the manufacturer, the K&H Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up bed is designed for continuous operation. This means it should be left plugged in around the clock as it has no on/off switch. If it’s plugged in, it’s on.
If you’ll be away from home for an extended period, it’s advisable to unplug it like any other electrical appliance. Avoid using an extension cord with this heated bed. For more safety information, refer to the “Product Q&A” on the K&H product page.
How to Wash the K&H Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up Bed
To clean the micro-fleece cover of this heated cat bed, unplug it and remove the warming pad from inside the cushion. Next, take out the foam ring from the bed’s cover. The cover is machine washable on a gentle cycle with cold water. K&H recommends line-drying it or using a no-heat setting in the dryer.
If you need to wash the foam ring as well, hand wash it with soapy water, squeeze out excess water, and let it air dry completely before reassembling the bed.

Where to Buy this K&H Heated Cat Bed
The K&H Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up bed is widely available at pet stores and online, coming in two sizes. My cats have the small version with the shorter lip. This style can be found on both Amazon and Chewy. The bed is also available with taller sides for around $50 on Amazon and Chewy.

Emory loves to burrow under the blankets or knead on them, especially after I refresh them with catnip spray.
